Located at the confluence of the Youghiogheny and Monongahela Rivers, McKeesport is also at the confluence of two trail systems. The GAP follows the “Mon” downriver to Pittsburgh; but, by crossing back over the Yough, cyclists can follow the Mon upriver along a 4.5 mile road route (see map on next page) through Glassport and Clairton to access the 47-mile Montour Trail and the Pittsburgh International Airport.
