The first two miles have been converted into the Sheepskin Trail and lead to the small town of Dunbar. In the 1790’s, iron furnace operations marked the beginning of what would become Dunbar’s lifeblood over the next century. Connellsville Street is the main road through the town and the remaining buildings stand as a testament to a more prosperous time. Stop by the Dunbar Historical Society Center for more information about this area.
